The Studio

Lanaloop is a textile studio creating considered layers for interiors. Guided by an appreciation for material, pattern, and the visual languages shaped by culture and place, the studio develops throws and bed scarves through research, material exploration, and an evolving approach to color and form. Influences range from architectural details and craft traditions to landscapes and everyday observations, translated into textile layers with a distinct sense of pattern, texture, and place.

Lanaloop approaches textiles as an element of the interior - an opportunity to introduce pattern, color, texture, and rhythm into a space. Designs begin with ideas and inspiration, explored through material, color, scale, and form. Across collections and projects, this evolving design language can take different forms - from subtle layers to bold expressions - each contributing to the character and story of a room.

Materials are chosen with attention to origin and established manufacturing practices. Each piece begins with considerations of texture, weight, composition, and intended use. While natural fibers remain foundational to the studio, with the current home collection centered on baby alpaca, we thoughtfully explore additional material compositions for select trade and hospitality applications.

Our studio works closely with experienced mills and makers selected for their expertise in weaving, finishing, and material development. From fiber selection through finishing, production remains controlled to preserve quality and reduce excess inventory.
